Description:
Expire is a hardcore punk band from Milwaukee, Wisconsin that consists of ex-members of Take Control, Wholehearted, and Barriers Now Bridges.  Typical of a lot of Bridge 9 bands, they play a very fast paced melodic hardcore style of punk rock and these guys do it good.  They are putting out a new full length this year so before they release that they decided to put out an album consisting of a lot of their older material from EP's and I assume splits or compilations.  Anyway, these dudes rule and you should check this out!

Ruiner was a hardcore punk band that came out of my hometown of Baltimore, Maryland and man were they fucking good.  One of the greatest pure melodic hardcore bands I've ever listened to, and I had the privilege of seeing their final performance.  It was truly an amazing set that had bands like Black SS, Title Fight and Magrudergrind (idk why I thought it was Tigers Jaw) playing before them.  During their set the electricity went out and they played the rest of their songs acoustic and in the dark, you fucking had to be there.  Anyway, if you don't already have this album then you are missing out big time.

Isn't that fun?!  Yeah it is!  Animal Club cite themselves as being a Youth Crew-esque band, so you can expect some really fun punk songs from them that's for sure.  For being a demo and their first ever release, the production is really well done and everything pulls together strongly.  I particularly like the distortion they use in a few of their songs, and the vocals really do separate them from other bands I've heard in the past.  So check them out and show them some love, they are a really new band in the punk scene.

There are times when I get sent a piece of music and I don't really know how to respond to the person sending it.  I thank them first and foremost for wanting me to help promote their music, and I usually follow up with how I personally feel about the release.  Now, I don't always upload everyone that sends me an email to the blog because it just doesn't resonate with me and if I don't like it then I refuse to post it.  Plain. And. Simple.  I have never, NEVER, received an email from someone and my first reaction to whatever they sent me was "Wow".  I've had this blog for at least 6-7 years, and I've never been personally given a piece of music that has blown me away like Cassus' TIDA;TIDT;BWMSLY (Sorry, It's super long).  When I said that this release is FFO bands in the scope of Ampere, Funeral Diner, Beau Navire, Orchid, etc; it's because these guys could easily be put on par or above each and every one of them.  The eerie instrumentals, the gut wrenching vocals and the seemingly flawless transition from one track to another has me listening to this over and over again to try and figure out where I went wrong in 2015 to have never heard of these guys.  My only complaint is that the god damn album name takes me longer to read than listening to the actual album, but I suppose it makes repetition easier in the long run which I can't complain about.  I've put the download link straight to their Bandcamp so they can get more views or hits or whatever it goes by, and so you can get it in whatever format you want.  Also, make sure you check out all of the little goodies they put in the album so that while you bust nuts out of your ears you can have an aesthetic eyegasm as well.  Enjoy!

Look, we get it.  Dangers is going to need to put in some SERIOUS effort to do anything better than Anger, or even Messy, Isn't It? and from what I have read and heard, not many people are that stoked about this EP.  I can't figure out why, I think it's a nice balance and reminds me of a solid mixture of both Anger & Messy.  So get off your fucking high horses god dammit, listen to some good music and shut your fucking whore mouth.  In the end, if you are a fan of the band you will like this regardless, otherwise it just may not be for you.  I enjoy it, so it's getting posted.  Fuck off.
