Track List:

- Bottom Line: Fuck You
- The Lives We Fear
- That Stone Better Be On Fire
- 40 Miles North
- A Song For Beggars
- Long Time Coming
- Repetition
- Choke On It
- When The Morning Ends
- Sleepless
- Kiss That Motherfucker Good Night

Description:
Ruiner was a hardcore punk band that came out of my hometown of Baltimore, Maryland and man were they fucking good.  One of the greatest pure melodic hardcore bands I've ever listened to, and I had the privilege of seeing their final performance.  It was truly an amazing set that had bands like Black SS, Title Fight and Magrudergrind (idk why I thought it was Tigers Jaw) playing before them.  During their set the electricity went out and they played the rest of their songs acoustic and in the dark, you fucking had to be there.  Anyway, if you don't already have this album then you are missing out big time.

Frameworks - Time Spent EP (2016)

Genre: Post-Hardcore / Melodic Hardcore
Website: Bandcamp
For Fans Of: Caravels, State Fault, Octaves
Track List:
- Worn Out
- Time Spent

Description:
Frameworks are a post-hardcore / melodic hardcore band out of Gainesville, Florida.  Personally, I haven't listened to these guys except for their LP, Loom, but I enjoyed it so much that I figured the least I could do for everyone else is upload their latest 2 song EP, Time Spent.  Frameworks utilizes and incorporates a lot of intricate instrumentation that differentiates them from their contemporaries.  The recordings are very clean and polished and make for some excellent post-hardcore that really lets the vocalist shine.  Honestly, if you liked them before you're going to like them now.  That's how I see it.  I'm digging these 2 songs, and I can't wait for the LP.

- Waking up with a Smile
- The Best I Had

Description:
It's pretty funny seeing an intro song as the fifteenth track of a twenty-one track album, right?  Wrong!  Because this is not an album, it's an anthology which means that it is a collection of all of their work up until that point!  Now I have never heard of these guys, but it seems like they were or are pretty big?  I could be wrong about that too but somehow they flew under my radar.  I am a strong believer that their is a really thin line between good melodic hardcore and bad melodic hardcore, and Taken, is very good melodic hardcore.  This is twenty-one beautifully written, wonderfully performed, and masterfully recorded.  It would behoove you to give these guys a chance.  Also, this is a 200 MB album, so sorry if it takes forever to download for some of you but it's so fucking worth it.

Caleb Lionheart - Think Hardcore. Play Pop Punk EP (2008)

Genre: Pop Punk / Melodic Hardcore
Website: Bandcamp
For Fans Of: Bangarang, After the Fall, Anchors
Track List:
- Home
- Vultures
- Keep Time, Lose Track
- Rules Of Attraction
- The Circus We´ve Become

Description:
Caleb Lionheart started as a New Years Resolution in 2007 by two friends and a guitar. Three years later it has blossomed into four best friends, three EPs, four East Coast tours, two vans, three former drummers, and a broken nose. Sometimes, everyone gets together, writes punk songs and plays them as fast they can. Sometimes, two or three members write acoustic songs and sing them at the top of their lungs. Sometimes, people sing along. You should too.  Just for good measure, I'm going to throw in their other EP, because why not.

Kings At Heart - Sunrise EP (2016)

Genre: Melodic Hardcore / Pop Punk
Website: Bandcamp
For Fans Of: Stick To Your Guns, Four Year Strong, Counterparts
Track List:
- Youth
- Fall
- Numb
- Bloom

Description:
Yeah so Kings At Heart are a "Melodic Hardcore" band from Australia, the only problem with that is that I really don't consider them a Melodic Hardcore band as much as they are a Pop Punk band with more Punk influences than Pop.  Granted, I haven't listened to their earlier releases and maybe they transitioned quite a bit into a more relaxed poppy style of music.  Now that's not to say I don't enjoy this band, I just don't enjoy the label that was put on their latest and very solid "Pop Punk" EP, "Sunrise".  You see what I did there? Yeah.  Check 'em out and see if you like them, and let me know if you think they are more of a melodic hardcore band or a pop punk band because it's really fucking confusing.

Tapestry - Growth EP (2016)

Genre: Melodic Hardcore
Website: Bandcamp
For Fans Of: Storm the Sky, Palisades, Azrael
Track List:
- Stray
- Oversight
- Bond
- Waste
- Growth

Description:
Tapestry are a five piece melodic hardcore band hailing out of Darwin, Australia.  These guys have a nice blend of raspy, puncturing screams and clean vocals that are like a calm before the storm.  Tapestry is a lot less raw and raunchy then what I have posted in the past under the same genre, so if you don't enjoy a prominence of clean vocals then this is not for you but I can assure you this is a legitimately intense melodic hardcore EP that no fan of the genre should miss out on.  Start of the new year right and get in on Tapestry, and maybe toss that $5 their way to help promote them and encourage them to create more music.

Edalene - I'm Still Here EP (2015)

Genre: Emo / Screamo / Melodic Hardcore-ish-sometimes-ish
Website: Bandcamp
For Fans Of: Merchant Ships, William Bonney, Pianos Become the Teeth
Track List:
- Ryerose
- Awakening
- A Tuesday in June

Description:
Phewwwwwww! I said god damn!  This is some seriously catchy shit guys.  It reminds me of if The Devil Wears Prada was better in every way but kept that guy that does the random pop punky singing, but it actually works with these guys!  Noodley guitar riffs, vocals are on point and passionate and the lack of songs to listen to is both a curse and a blessing for me.  You get about 12 minutes of pure, unadulterated emotion, sadness, camaraderie and just an overall good time to just get shit done while having some banging tunes in your ear drums.  I've listened to these three tracks on repeat for about an hour now, and whether I'm currently zoned in to the lyrics, feeling the instrumentals, or having it melt in the background like the best grilled cheese you've ever fucking made, Edalene comes short of nothing but authentically amazing. Get in on this and stay tuned for more stuff!
