Description:
Six year man.  Six long fucking years since we have heard from Magrudergrind.  But, I'm not upset anymore because this album, although different, is the best thing they have released so far in my opinion.  Sure it's toned down, and it's a little slower, but the build ups are so much better and the production is literally music to your ears.  So enjoy listening to 15 angry songs about shit like religion and corruption among other things.  Look I just woke up and I still feel a little fucked up, but I wanted to get this out as fast as possible so yeah the description sucks but the album is amazing.  Download it.  Get good scrub.

Description:
This has already become my favorite Graf Orlock album to date, and it's kind of by a land slide.  I'm not sure if it's 100% just the songs or if it's a mixture between that and the flawless production.  "Crimetraveler" is a pleasure to listen to and makes me hopeful for the future of grindcore.  If you are a fan of grindcore, download this album.  If you are a fan of hardcore, download this album.  If you are a fan of music, download this album.  Then buy it.  I'm done pretending to enjoy writing this right now, I'm going to get back to being mad as fuck and punching walls while listening to this gem.  Enjoy, fuckers.

Description:
Durian is a brand new grindcore band straight out of New Jersey who came out firing on all cylinders from "Scumfuck Bastard" to "Garbage Grind" and I fucking love it.  You don't see too many bands going balls out anymore, it's a nice change of pace to see some newcomers actually give an effort in a genre that has been seriously lacking for quite some time.  If you want some in your face go fuck yourself music, then Durian's first release will surely leave you wanting more.

Description:
So the name is a goofy play on the baseball player Yasiel Puig and grindcore band Pig Destroyer, but that doesn't make them any less of a good and original band.  I imagine the members of this band were drinking a shit ton of beers and started rambling about baseball and somehow came to the drunken conclusion that a baseball themed grindcore band would be the answer to all of their prayers.  That's how I'd like to imagine it at least.  Anyway, these guys play a blend of Hardcore Punk and Grindcore and it's 20 short and sweet songs so what have you got to lose?  Enjoy!

BEA5T - Empathy Is A Gift EP (2016)

Genre: Screamo / Grindcore
Website: Bandcamp
For Fans Of: Ed Gein, The Locust, Head Wound City
Track List:
- Werewolves, Not Swearwolves
- A Coward's Disease
- Only The Punk Rock Go To Hamtramck
- Watch Yourself Instead

Description:
So this is Craig Owen's (Chiodos, Isles & Glaciers, etc;) 4 song grindcore EP that he recorded with a friend in his bedroom.  Yeah, I didn't know about this either.  Owen's explains that the reason for making the band and the EP in general was because he enjoyed bands like Ed Gein, The Locust, Converge and Botch growing up and just wanted to make something for fun.  That would explain the lack of promotion considering he's a considerably well known musician.  There isn't anything special about "Empathy Is A Gift" but it's a good listen and an honorable approach to branching out to something you enjoy from Owens.   All in all, I would give BEA5T another shot in the future if they release any other music.
